How Trash Panda Software handles information for the Dungeons & Glory website and closed playtest.

Effective and last updated August 26, 2026

This policy explains what Trash Panda Software collects and uses when you visit the Dungeons & Glory website or participate in the closed playtest.

1. Scope and operator

Dungeons & Glory is developed, published, and operated by Trash Panda Software. This policy covers the game, its closed-playtest services, this website, support, feedback, and crash reporting. The current playtest is offered to adults age 18 or older in the United States.

2. Information we collect

Account and game information

When you create or access an account, we collect your chosen username and password to create or verify the account credential. We do not retain your plaintext password. We store only a per-account, randomly salted one-way password hash. The stored credential is not reversible: Trash Panda Software and support cannot retrieve or send your original password. One-way hashing reduces the harm of credential exposure but cannot make a weak or reused password impossible to guess. We store the Terms version you accepted and the server-observed UTC acceptance time with the account. We also store the game state associated with your account, such as progression, equipment, inventory, skills, statistics, currencies, learned phrases, tutorial state, and other records needed to continue play.

Network, security, and service information

Our services and hosting providers may process Internet Protocol (IP) addresses, request times, client or server versions, connection and endpoint information, security events, and standard server or web-request logs. Successful account registration and later Terms acceptance record the username, accepted version and time, and source address in the server's operational log. We use this information to connect players, protect accounts and services, diagnose failures, prevent abuse, and maintain the playtest.

Feedback

If you send in-game feedback, the report may include the text and rating you provide, room and tier context, client version, platform, operating-system and language information, and any optional name, email address, or country you choose to include. The service also receives the submitting and forwarding network addresses. Accepted feedback is relayed to a private Discord channel used by the development team; the game server does not save a separate feedback copy to disk.

Crash reports

Desktop crash reporting is enabled by default and can be disabled in Settings. A crash report can contain the time, build, platform, version, crash location or trap, and stack trace. Pending reports are stored locally on your device until delivery, opt-out, expiry, or removal, with a maximum of 24 reports and a maximum age of 14 days. Mobile clients may capture a local report but do not currently upload it. Accepted reports are relayed to a private Discord channel; the game server does not save a separate client-report copy to disk.

Support communications

When you contact us, we collect your message, email address, and anything else you choose to send. Please do not send passwords, payment-card information, government identifiers, or unrelated sensitive information.

Website analytics and Steam

We offer optional Google Analytics on the first-party website to understand visits and improve the site. We do not load the Google tag or send information to Google Analytics unless you select Accept analytics. If accepted, the tag may process the pages you visit, interactions with those pages, referring-page information, and browser and device details. Google may also receive your Internet Protocol (IP) address, derive approximate location information, and use first-party cookies or similar identifiers to recognize a browser or device. We do not configure the tag to send your account username or game progression, add custom analytics events, enable advertising features, or support cross-context behavioral advertising. Google processes this information as our analytics provider under the Google Privacy Policy.

The website records your analytics choice, the consent-policy version, and the time of your choice in local browser storage so it can remember the decision for six months. This preference is used only to apply your analytics choice and is not sent to Google when analytics is rejected. Missing, invalid, expired, or unavailable preference storage keeps analytics off and presents the choice again.

Our host may separately create standard request and security logs. If Dungeons & Glory is distributed through Steam, Valve separately handles its store accounts, payments, downloads, and refund systems under Valve's policies. Trash Panda Software does not receive your full payment-card details from Steam.

3. How we use information

  • create, authenticate, secure, and maintain player accounts;
  • save progression and provide multiplayer and support services;
  • investigate bugs, crashes, cheating, abuse, attacks, and policy violations;
  • respond to support, privacy, legal, security, deletion, and appeal requests;
  • measure website visits and improve and administer the website and closed playtest; and
  • comply with law, enforce our terms, and protect players, the public, and our services.

4. How information is disclosed

We disclose information only as reasonably needed to operate the service, including to Google as our website analytics provider, hosting and infrastructure providers, private Discord channels used for feedback and crash triage, and Steam when its store or platform services apply. We may also disclose information when required by law; to investigate fraud, abuse, security incidents, or threats; to protect rights and safety; or as part of a merger, financing, reorganization, sale, or transfer of the project, subject to applicable law.

We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, and we do not use personal information for targeted advertising.

5. Retention

  • Account and progression: retained until a verified deletion request is completed or the service shuts down. Accounts are not automatically deleted for inactivity.
  • Pending local crash reports: limited to 24 files and 14 days, and deleted when desktop crash reporting is disabled.
  • Relayed feedback and crash reports: kept in private Discord channels until manually deleted; there is no automated purge.
  • Support, hosting, security, and operational records: kept as reasonably necessary for the purpose collected, dispute resolution, service protection, backups, and legal obligations.
  • Transaction records: retained by the applicable seller or payment provider for legally required periods.

Backups and records required for security, fraud prevention, legal claims, or compliance may remain for a limited period after a deletion request and will not be returned to ordinary use.

6. Your choices and requests

You can disable desktop crash reporting in the game's Settings. On the website, you may reject optional analytics without losing access to public content. Use Cookie settings in any website footer to review your current choice, accept analytics, or withdraw a prior acceptance. Withdrawal immediately disables further analytics collection and removes accessible first-party Google Analytics cookies. You can also use browser controls to block or delete analytics cookies.

You may also ask to access, correct, or delete personal information, or object to or restrict certain uses where applicable law provides that right. California residents may make applicable privacy requests and will not receive discriminatory treatment for exercising a privacy right. We may need to verify your identity and may decline or limit a request where the law permits.

For account deletion, follow the Account Deletion instructions. For any other privacy request, email support@dungeonsandglory.com.

7. Security and international processing

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, including encrypted HTTPS credential transport and salted password hashing. No storage or transmission system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. The service is operated for the United States, and information may be processed in the United States or wherever our service providers operate.

8. Adults only

Dungeons & Glory is not intended for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a person under 18 has provided information, contact us so we can investigate and remove it where appropriate.

9. Changes and contact

We may update this policy as the playtest, distribution, or law changes. The date at the top identifies the current version. Material changes will be presented through a reasonable notice appropriate to the playtest.
